We´re famous in Masaya!!! (well, kinda...)

Hey, how are you all doing?
I had a great weekend in Masaya!!! On Friday we (Nora: a german girl, Lillian and me) wanted to go to Laguna de Apoyo, that amazing lake near Masaya. We had plans to stay over that night, but it got kinda late and the weather was not really okay, so we decided to go the next day very early.

That Friday-afternoon I got to know a guy (Carlos) that lives in my street. He asked me if I wanted to go with him to some place that night, there were going to be some bands playing music like Manu Chao etc. Well, at that time I thought I was going to be at the lake, but well, plans had changed so we decided to look for this Carlos and ask him where these bands are going to play. It turned out to be at a birthday party and he asked if we wanted to go with him. Well, kinda strange we thought, coz we don't know this guy that's having this party, but on the other hand, it´s quite normal here. Everything and everybody is just so open, if you don´t know somebody, don´t worry, I´ll present you. So that night we went to the birthday party, first there were like almost no people inside the house, almost everybody was standing outside just smoking. But when the band played, everybody got in the house and the music was soooooooooooooooooo good!!!
After a while, my ´brother´Carlos and his friend Oscar wanted to go out in Managua (that´s what we thought) so we wanted to go with them. In the car we came to the discovery that they just wanted to go to another place in Masaya, Toro Loco. When I heard that, I actually wanted to go back to the party, coz I was having so much fun overthere, but decided to have some drinks in Toro Loco first.
In Toro Loco, I was having much fun too, there was this guy Chester, we met him earlier at the party, he had a digicam and made a lot of pictures. He put the pictures on the Masaya-site:

Today at the hospital there was a doctor who said he saw us on the side and just now here in the internet-cafe, the lady that works here told me the minute I walked into this place that I look so happy on the Masaya-site..... I guess it´s a popular site here!!!

On Saturday we went to the Laguna de Apoyo, it´s really beautiful!!! All day I just laid in those inflatable rings (sorry, don´t know how to call them in English) in the lake, trying to catch some sleep (only slept like 3 hours that night), it was sooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooood!!!

On Sunday I slept until 12.00 AM, I was so tired! That day there were a lot of marimba dances in our neighbourhood, and I think from 3 till 10 PM Nora and I just went from house to house to house, I really love to see them dancing in their beautiful outfits!!! Next weekend my ´brother´ Jose has to dance in several houses, can´t wait to see that!!!

Today was our last day in the hospital. The Labor y Parto department was really interesting, but unfortunately, there weren't many patients the hours we were there. Haven´t welcomed a baby in our world myself.....
Tomorrow we will start in the Centro de Salud.
